Website + Custom Business Management System

Denny's Garage

A family-owned auto body shop in South San Francisco with no website and a front desk running on phone calls. We built the public site and the shop-management system behind it.

Where things stood

The problem

Denny's Garage had built its reputation over decades of word of mouth, but had no online presence. Estimates were handled over the phone or by walk-in, customers called repeatedly for status updates, and appointments, invoices, and expenses lived in separate places. Subcontracted work — detailing and audio installation — had to be coordinated manually.

What we did about it

Our approach

We designed a public website that presents the shop's services and portfolio, and connected it to a custom back office. Customers can request a virtual estimate with photos, request an appointment, and follow the status of their repair through a private link — no account required. Staff manage everything from one admin dashboard, and partners see only the jobs that involve their services.

Scope

What we built

Frontend

  • Marketing website with services, damage guide, portfolio, and blog
  • Virtual estimate request with photo upload
  • Appointment request and confirmation flow
  • Customer portal for appointments and invoices
  • Status tracking page via private link

Backend

  • Admin dashboard for appointments, invoices, expenses, and reports
  • Customer and job status management
  • Estimate and invoice generation with PDF export
  • Partner role with scoped access to relevant jobs only
  • Passwordless magic-link sign-in for customers and staff
  • PostgreSQL database with role-based access

Integrations

  • Transactional email for confirmations and sign-in links
  • SMS notifications to the shop for new requests
  • Google Business structured data for local search

Back office

Behind the scenes

The system Denny's Garage runs on every day. Every screen we show is the real system running on demo data. No real customer information is ever published.

Your business data stays yours.

We protect the data and integrity of every business we work with. The systems we build use role-based access, so each person sees only what their job needs. Client and customer records are never sold, shared, or used in our marketing.

Outcome

Final result

  • Live in production and used daily by the shop
  • First online presence for a business established in 1994
  • Estimates, appointments, status updates, and invoicing now run through one system
